In my opinion, the greatest detriment to distributing software by the "shareware" method is the warranty of the shareware vendors. Many potential customers deduce from the warranty that the vendor has no intentions of standing behind the product, and has no interest in repeat business. That may be good for the vendor, but it is bad for the authors. File GUARANTE.ASS contains a hypothetical guarantee to overcome the warranty problem. Shareware vendors are free to modify and adopt this system. -Gunsmoke l\ 1\ Dr. Jack Ascii \ \ \ \ Quality Assurance Enginear \ \ \ \ CAVE, Inc \ \/~~\\ 1/2 Fast Road ~{{@ @}) Ritner, KY 42639 A/~~\A ~ l ; 606/376-3137 ((o o))___ ~~~ ; ; 0006351762@mcimail.com \ / ~~~ # /(__) # # * (--)\ # ---#---x---x---x---#--x--x--x--x--x--#----x-\|x--x--x--x---x---#--- #/ # w # |/ W \ # ---#---x---x----x--#--x--x--x-|x--x--#---x--\|---x--x-|x---x---#--- \\#|// \o/ \@// \#/ \|/ \\||// \#/ \\\||/ \\\\|||/// \|/#\| Where the National Information Superhighway is just a two lane cowpath.
